This class is already hard for me, I am willing to learn and I have taken a very similar class before so I know I can do it but it has been tough, currently though, what I am struggling with would be establishing what appropriate information to contribute to my script. The wording is still tough for me but I am picking it up slowly. As for the models, I will counter my post from last week and share different models I explored this week, models that are a little harder for me to understand. The models I explored more would be the multiple regression models that compare the relationships between two variables. In the example script it gave the relationship between weight, rear axle ratio, and fuel economy and how each pertained to each other. Another model I explored this week is the qualitative predictors model. Qualitative predator models give you the factors of the variables that are being explored. For example particularly in our case the transmission is the factor to the variables being studied. With the models I explored further I also challenged myself to step outside of my comfort zone of visual statistics that I really paid attention to in last week's analysis. One important statistic I think I gathered from the regression outputs is the print summary statistics. The print summary statistic is exactly the name of it, it gives a summary of all the data produced so far. The hardest statistic for me to interpret this week would have to be residuals. I don’t
understand the importance just yet of establishing the difference between the actual and predicted values. Please share your findings with me! Finally, I think this model would hold up well with say car dealerships. I think just as a car manufacturer has to know how to build the car to work well with all three factors, the fuel efficiency, weight, and the rear axle ratio, I think that car dealerships also need to know how they all work together because they are trying to sell the vehicle. A car salesman wants to share all the KEY features to a vehicle to make sure the customer understands the vehicle they are getting. Some vehicles behind this statistic could also allow a car dealership to upsell their vehicles based on how well the fuel efficiency is.
