QUESTIONS:
1.
What two functional areas are important to the success of your chosen organization? Marketing and Finance
First Key Functional Area
“Marketing in ministry aims to support your outreach efforts, helping your ministry create an online presence, craft compelling social media content, and employ traditional marketing techniques to extend your reach. Before embarking on marketing efforts, it is essential
to define your marketing strategies for engaging and inspiring your audience more effectively.”
(Leighton, 2023)
The first key functional area I chose for Recreation Fire and Miracles Ministries is marketing. I chose marketing because let’s face it church is everywhere and most times when it comes to places of worship people have a church that they grew up in, a church that there family attends, have crossed over to a church their partner/spouse attends, some just walked into a particular church and it has become their home and some people would rather worship from the comfort of their homes or some don’t worship at all. What I’m trying to say is church is everywhere and church is a sensitive thing. Some may think why would you need to market the house and word of God, it’s simple why should people worship with you and not somewhere else. “
Marketing a ministry, and digital marketing is a crucial skill for ministry leaders, enabling you to build connections with your community and extend your ministry’s reach to a wider audience.”
(Leighton, 2023) To be able to effectively attain your mission and vision, marketing will be an area that must function extremely well, whoever that will be completing marketing for the ministry is someone that needs to have extensive knowledge on the
subject. This is an area that can make or break a ministry. When discussing marketing and 2
ministry, I want to explain how ethical principles will apply in day-to-day ministry work. When it comes to ethics and marketing you must make sure that you have honest people working with you, honesty and integrity are two characteristics that work hand in hand when it comes to ministry, the people within ministry need to be honest and have integrity in order for that to be conveyed to the public. Now you can lie to pull people in but, when they come into the church and don’t see what was marketed to them they will end up leaving and this can start bad marketing by, word of mouth. Marketing a ministry isn’t going to be easy because as I’ve said before religion is always a touchy subject and arena to market. I’ve identified some critical thinking skills that I believe that if applied could make this a lot easier, content and brand auditing, prioritizing, and data interpretation. As a ministry what you put out there and what people see about you is very important, but you want to make sure that you’re putting out accurate content that better portrays your mission and vision. As you put out this content you want to ensure that you can get data that will show you what is resonating with the public and be able to prioritize from there the kind of content you will put out. If you’re using social media platforms, you know that this is an ever-changing market so you need to know at all times what kind of content as it pertains to ministry is catching people eyes and prioritize your content that way.
Second Key Functional Area
The second functional area I chose for this organization is Finance. To be able to spread the mission and vision of this ministry globally finances are going to be crucial. Which is why I also chose marketing for the first key functional area is because the more you market, the more people will come in to the ministry become stable and become a member and finances of the 3

David Ogilvy is often quoted on how to structure an agency and develop an effective culture for success. Yet, I wonder whether he ever said anything about societal culture and the role advertising plays in shaping it. Culture is a word that is bandied about endlessly in Pakistan, yet most people have little idea what exactly it is. In fact, they regard culture as something immobile and set in stone.
As a marketing expert, explain how Pakistani culture can affect our purchase decisions?
Highlight two major rituals of Pakistani people that result in the purchase of specific products.
