MGT 526 Week 4 DQ
The company I chose which is AT&T has what is called a functional orgaizational structure. This structure that they use is designed to both facilitate efficient operations and also align it's diverse business segments (Databahn.com, 2023) Like with most structures with AT&T at the top would be the CEO. The CEO is the individual that is responsible for providing the overall strageic direction and overall leadership to the company. The CEO remains at the top of the structure. At the bottom of course are going to be the lowest which would be the entry level positions such as sales agents or those that work in the contact centers (like myself) start at the bottom then go the ADPs and team leads then managers directors. Another structure that is also discussed would be the matrix structure. Do I feel that it would be of beneficial use to AT&T? I do actually and the reason being is that this particular matrix is a structure to where teams report to higher ups and I feel that this could be an effective way to keep in communication with the higher ups and can also be more creative with newer products and services.
