2 Collaborating With Other Disciplines The Matching Law and Creating and Sustaining Organizational Change Matching law was first introduced by Richard Herrnstein and describes how people behave. It states that behavior occurs directly proportional to the reinforcement available for each (Daniels, 2016). Therefore, when an organization wants to create and sustain a change, it should ensure the new behavior is more reinforced than the old. The organization can do this by applying positive reinforcement to the new behavior and reducing or removing reinforcement to the old behavior. Role of Technology at Workplace and How it Can Help to Create and Sustain Change Technology is crucial in convening various tools that help spur organizational growth. When utilized well, technology can help create and sustain change in an organization in various ways. First, technology promotes communication and collaboration among employees from different organizational departments (Daniels, 2016). Technology promotes communication and collaboration through platforms like emails, video conferencing and project management software, computers and cell phones. Second, technology helps in data collection and analysis, enabling organizations to collect and analyze data effectively and efficiently. This is crucial in aiding sound decision- making by the management. Additionally, technology help in automation and streamlining processes in an organization. Organizations can use technology to automate and streamline repetitive tasks using workflow automation software (Daniels, 2016). This will help eliminate time-consuming tasks, manual errors and enhance resource allocation. Humble Behaviorism
3 According to Neuringer (1991), "humble behaviorism" is having an open mind to collaborate. It encourages behavior analysts to embrace alternative opinions and be tentative drawing conclusions. This means that behavior analysts need to respect their patients and other stakeholders to ensure the most appropriate problem-solving technique is adopted. How the Ideas of Reciprocation and "Humble Behaviorism" will Impact Collaboration with other Disciplines and Maintain Change in Employee Behavior Reciprocation and "humble behaviorism" crucially impact interdisciplinary collaboration and maintain change in employee behavior. Reciprocation is the exchange of mutual benefits and involves recognizing and valuing contributions from other disciplines and offering professional expertise to solve an organizational problem. Behavior analysts create a collaborative environment and foster change by acknowledging the input of other professionals and reciprocating the same. Similarly, "humble behaviorism" fosters collaboration by having behavior analysts and other stakeholders approach interdisciplinary collaboration with humility and an open mind to accommodate divergent opinions (Neuringer, 1991). This openness and humility will positively impact the behavior analysis process and contribute to a sustained change.
