SECTION C TASK 3 3.1 Innovation and technological advancement depend on new knowledge and skills. Learners need to be equipped with the skills and knowledge to create new technologies and improve existing ones. The education system is instrumental in aiding learners to achieve this by giving them through the transfer of knowledge and skills, together with the provision of resources that are required. Altlnay (2020) argues that technology can enhance the education process by providing learners with access to new knowledge and skills. The benefits of online learning and environment are articulated in the article together with the exploration of new technologies in adding value to both the learning and teaching process. New trends in technology and identification of such is cited as being paramount in the education of learners and equipping of teachers with the necessary tools to capitalize on advancements in technologies and keeping abreast from a technology point of view. New knowledge and skills, for instance, can lead to innovation is the development of renewable energy technologies. Solar, wind, and hydroelectric power are examples of innovations that are based on advances in materials science, engineering, and physics. These technologies can help us to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and fight climate change. Be that as it may, technological advancements may also raise ethical issues. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education has caused problems with privacy, data protection, and bias. Learners, therefore, need to learn about these issues so that they can incorporate technologies in an ethical and socially responsible manner. In conclusion, new knowledge and skills are essential for innovation and technological advancement. The education system has a duty to equip learners with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need for this task. However, ethical issues that may arise from technological advancements should also be addressed.
3.2 Examine challenges and benefits of incorporating new skills, knowledge and values into a traditional education system. Discuss how educators strike a balance between preserving essential traditional education elements and embracing the demand of the rapidly changing world? Provide examples and formulate strategies that can be implemented for success.
