2 Question: In addition to complying with equal employment opportunity laws, many companies specialize in recruiting underrepresented employees according to sex, race, or some other characteristic. In helping to build more diverse workforces, such initiatives contribute to competitive advantage for two reasons: (1) People from diverse backgrounds bring new talents and fresh perspectives to an organization, typically enhancing creativity in developing new products. (2) By reflecting more accurately on the changing demographics of the marketplace, a diverse workforce improves a company’s ability to serve an ethnically diverse population. Do you agree or disagree with the basic assumptions that underpin this statement? Answer: Yes, I agree. Workplace diversity occurs whenever in a place of work, there is an accommodation of people from different aspects, like people with different educational levels, sex, age, or culture. A diverse Workforce Boosts Creativity and Innovation. Workforce diversity plays a major role in problem-solving, this occurs whenever a company has a team with different experiences, perspectives, and skills. The individuals put their minds together, and each person shares their thought; they all rectify the mistakes and then come up with a product that is free from bias. In the process, new ideas are born, strategic reasoning is widened, creativity becomes the day’s business, and innovation is. ( Anglim et al., 2019). Through workforce diversity, it is easy to educate employees on diverse world views and reach a large group of people faster. Consequently, it becomes simple to share new ideas since a large market share has already been created. Research shows that more diverse companies are likely to capture about 70% more new markets than
3 others that do not appreciate workforce diversity. With a large market share, the company gets more profits. There are also stronger employee relationships when workers connect deeply as per their shared experiences and background, improving workplace collaboration. All over the globe, diversity at places of work has proven ideal in boosting creativity. Every company looks forward to conceiving the next big idea, which can only be realized by thinking outside the box. As people with different life experiences interact with others from different backgrounds, they reason together and cook ideas with variety and quality. Whenever there is diversity, creativity comes naturally ( Anglim et al., 2019). Creativity is a valued skill in companies such that whenever company managers are asked the skill they value most, they say it is creativity. For company executives, both creativity and innovation are intertwined. Therefore, creativity and social justice are borne from workplace diversity. For example, the likelihood of firms supporting workforce diversity to get higher incomes than those that do not is almost 30 percent higher. Whenever individuals from different backgrounds meet, they come up with a solution that is better than the one they could deliver from the same background. Diversity in teams also scraps the normal way of solving issues and comes up with new approaches to tackling problems. Companies aspire to use unique marketing approaches whenever there is creativity. Companies that encourage workplace diversity tend to be more innovative than others that do not embrace it ( Anglim et al., 2019). In addition, companies that advertise with diversity, there is an expansion of customer base, and customers have a positive reputation for them, which increases awareness of their products. There is a strong bond between the customers and the company with cultural and ethnic diversity through advertisement. Improvement of the Company’s ability to serve the ethnically diverse organization

4 Workers who see workplace diversity around them tend to have a positive overall perception and opinion of their company. Sixty-seven percent of job seekers agree that organizational diversity is a significant factor. As companies work to achieve workplace diversity, employees become more diversified. On the other hand, whenever there is no job diversity, a hostile environment can be created and an increase in turnover rate (Tamunomiebi & John-Eke, 2020). Workers get many opportunities due to the current employment trends. Whenever an inclusive and diverse company culture is created, employees are drawn closer to the company, and it is their desire not to live the company. This continues the positive culture cycle in the company. On top of that, whenever minorities and women are allowed to lead, future employees positive environment is created. Every person in a company benefits whenever the available managers can be trusted and are people who relate well with their juniors. Groups and programs for supporting diversity are created whenever firms have successful workplace diversity (Tamunomiebi & John-Eke, 2020). Everyone in the workplace feels more excited about their place of work whenever there is a more invested and tighter community.
