Introduction In this study, the chosen workplace is a hotel and some of the workplace issues will be showcased. Most of the workplaces have their own problems and many employees face such issues in such workplaces. So, in this report, an experience of an employee will be explained related to workplace issue and some recommendations will also be portrayed to solve those issues. The main aim of this study is to understand the workplace issues and provide proper solutions to those issues so the challenges can be mitigated. In this study, some core issues related to the workplace will be showcased. Also, the impact of these issues on the organization’s success will be discussed. Apart from that, some issue that can hamper the solutions will be explained properly. On the other hand, some recommendations will be portrayed in this study to overcome such workplace issues along with implementation strategy of those recommendations. Workplace challenges Core issues in the workplace In this study, the workplace has been selected is a hotel and the challenges related to that particular hotel are affecting the employees. So, in this scenario, a female employee has faced various workplace challenges in the hotel and some of them are very critical. One of the core workplace problems she faced is poor communication. Most of the managers do not communicate properly with the employees and due to that the performance of the employees decreases rapidly. In this case, the managers do not communicate with the female employee properly and due to that she was unable to provide the best service to the customers and this leads to customer dissatisfaction. Another issue that has been identified in the workplace is lack of work flexibility. This is the most critical issue that has been faced by most of the employees ( Bartlett et al. 2019) . In this case, the working schedule of the employees is sometime not followed by the hotel and due to that the employees were unknown about their job dates and leave dates. So, in this scenario, the female employee has also faced the same issue and on her expected leave date, the management of the hotel called her to come to the job as they don’t follow the schedule sometime. 3

On the other hand, one more issue that has been identified in the workplace is the unclear job expectations of the employees. In this part, most of the employees have their own skill and they only want to do those jobs which are capable for them. In this scenario, the hotel offers more than one service and due to that most of the time they shuffle their employees into various services. Due to that they face difficulties while performing their jobs and they lack in providing best service to the customers. So, the female employee also faced the same issue and the management put her into different job of the hotel. She has the skill to perform best waitress work, but the hotel management put her into the job of room service and due to that her moral got lowered at the workplace. So, in this section, three core issues of the hotel workplace have been identified and all of the have been discussed properly. Apart from that, there are several issues that can be found in the hotel workplace. However, the most crucial and core issues have been explained here. Impact of the issues on organization’s success Success of the organization is very significant for any company and all the companies try to achieve the success by providing best services to their customers. So, in this part, it can be said that the service and customer satisfaction both are significant and crucial for any company to get success. However, there are many organizational issues that are present in the company and those can also make impact on the success of the company. So, the first issue that has been identified in the hotel is poor communication. Without proper communication a company won’t be able to deliver best service to the customers ( Arif et al. 2019) . If the customers do not get proper service, then they will not be satisfied and this will hamper the company success and reputation. Apart from that, due to this issue, the customer acquisition can be decreased rapidly. On the other hand, another issue that has been identified is lack of work flexibility and this is also a significant problem. In this scenario, it has been seen that the hotel does not follow the job schedule properly and due to that the employees faced lots of issue. So, in the hotel many of the employees will be efficient and very good at their work. When the management team of the hotel doesn’t follow the work schedule, such employees face holiday or leave day issues and 4
due to that they feel stress. Because of this, they unable to perform their best at the work and this hampers the reputation and success of the company. The last core issue that has been identified is unclear job expectations and this have made impact on the employees. Commonly, most of the person learn some particular skill so they can perform a specific job. In this scenario, the waitress is doing the job of room service and this will hamper the performance of the employee. This directly impacts on the organization’s reputation and success. Broader issues and challenges that may impact a solution There are many issues that are involved in the above-mentioned workplace and some of them can also impact the solution. Impact on the solution can be risky for the organization and this needs to be taken care of ( Lai et al. 2020) . So, the most important issue that has been identified in this case is poor communication and this needs to be solved properly. If the solution is implemented, still it needs to be reviewed properly that it is working. In this case, the solution of the poor communication has been found and implemented within the workplace. However, it can’t be a success until all the employees and managers perform it properly. So, the collaboration among the employees and managers is required unless it can affect the solution that has been made and implemented within the workplace. In result, the operation of the workplace will not work properly and it will impact on the production. Apart from that, this will also hamper the financial condition of the company and it will lead to financial loss and its success. Recommendations In this part, some recommendations have been showcased to mitigate the workplace issues that are mentioned above. Those recommendations are: The first issue is poor communication and this has to be solved first. This is a crucial problem that most of the organization currently facing. So, to solve this issue the management team of the hotel can arrange training sessions for the employees as well as managers. The training session will be run by the experts that will be hired by the 5
management team. In this session, they will learn how to properly communicate with the employees and managers so the collaboration of the entire team can be maintained. The second issue that has been identified is lack in work flexibility and this also needs to be solved. So, in this matter a proper team should be hired to make adequate schedule for the employees. This will help the hotel to manage the operation properly and employees can get their leave dates properly and can stay stress free. The last issue that has been identified is unclear jo expectations and this mainly lowers the moral of the employees. To mitigate this issue, the HR department should hire the employees according to the available position. Also, they need to check the qualifications and skills as per the job requirement so the hired person can provide his or her best for the company. The implementation strategy is also very important after making the plan and it needs to be ensured that the plan has been implemented properly ( Ferreira et al. 2021) . So, in this part the implementation tool that can be used by the company is the implementation plan which will include objectives, time frames, etc. Conclusion According to the above study, it has been observed that workplace issues are very serious matter and those needs to be identified. In this study, some workplace issues have been identified successfully and also those have been explained properly. Apart from that, the workplace that have been discussed in this report and also an example of a female employee has been showcased. On the other hand, the impact of these issues on the organization’s success have been explained properly. Also, the internal issue that can hamper a solution has been discussed. At last, 3 recommendations to mitigate such issues have been portrayed in this study along with the implementation strategy. 6
