About the Company Pod It! Established in 2010, specializes in designing and furnishing the BETTER way we work. Our goal and mission is to ensure everyone has a comfortable space to work where thoughtfulness in the design increase productivity and engagement in the workplace. In light of the pandemic and the transition from fully remote work to a more hybrid workplace. Pod It! has been a leader in designing and converting existing office spaces that allows maximum collaboration and a sense of belonging. Recently, the company’s work has been mainly converting open space offices into partitioned spaces that allows transparency with their patented Plexi glass style partitions as well as teamwork and collaboration by creating smaller pod rooms to larger team collaboration rooms. Pod It! has called this specific project “The Invisible Wall” creating CLEAR divisions.
Some more details The workforce has gone through multiple changes from cubical style offices to workplace transformations to pivoting into remote work due to the global pandemic. Now many organizations are asking/telling their workforce to come back to the office. The c-suite is promoting the new hybrid work but is required to mandate these efforts as the workforce is tired of multiple changes and lack of stability. Each of the teams and departments have their own challenges regarding office space. The Invisible Wall project is coming inhouse – the project is set to launch in the next 8-10 months. A group of you have been selected to lead the change initiative for each of the departments that will be undergoing the workspace transformation. The Invisible Wall project is set to reinforce the hybrid mandate to be working in the office a minimum of 3 days per week. Will this project be invisibly integrated, or will it reinforce the visible walls that will be placed creating divisions?

Instructions Part 1 will be an individual project and part 2 will be group submission In groups of 4-6, each person is to select the team/department they will tackle, see below: IT HR Marketing Finance Strategy/ Operation Management Research and Development (Production)
Instructions cont. Ensure all group members select 1 of the 6 functions (team/department) without creating DUPLICATES. For example, no one group should have 2 HRs. Your group (in Part 2 of the assignment) will have marks deducted if this is the case Once you have selected the department you would like to work on, please find the file with the name of the department you will be working on (this is called the requirements sheet)
Deliverables for Part 1 of the Assignment As a Change Agent: 1. Complete a forcefield analysis using the information on the “About the Company” and your Requirements Sheet. Is your department ready for Change? 2. Identify the top 3 underlying causes of resistance 3. For each identified causes of resistance, provide strategies to overcome the resistance. Be specific and pragmatic. The goal is to overcome the resistance and remembering that ‘one size DOESN’T fit all’ 4. Create a communication strategy that will complement your future change plan (stick to the department you are working on)
