Huntington Hospital faces several issues including poor communication as seen with the only means of communication being via email. Because management lacked leadership and supervisors frequently questioned employee’s method of doing something, there was low staff morale. Strategies in the Business Systems Office were not consistent for the proper running of the organization and staff felt that they did not have a voice. The healthcare manager should take full control of communication and have regular meetings with department heads and ensure that matters discussed are related to all employees. He/She should also employ the same strategies as Markey since her open-door policy works so effectively. Employees at HH want to have someone to go to who would listen and try to resolve their issues. This will improve staff morale and regular meetings with managers can ensure that issues surrounding AR days are taken care of and everyone can work towards getting to the target, being in the 50’s. Key stakeholders were earlier identified as employees and management. Employees need to be empowered to make certain decisions and management need to make the provisions for this

Once employees have the power to make certain decisions, I would recommend that management have frequent meetings to see the progress employees are making and to see what assistance management can provide to enable them to do their jobs efficiently. One employee explained, when your hands are tied there’s not much you can do. And yet they expect maximum
productivity (Drabkin & Soule, 2015). My recommendation to employees would be to speak up and make your voices heard. Make maximum use of the manager’s open-door policy and make

· This organization is a manufacturing firm. Managers are expected to fully document all decisions, and “good managers” are those who can provide detailed data to support their recommendations. Creative decisions that incur significant change or risk are not encouraged. Because managers of failed projects are openly criticized and penalized, managers try not to implement ideas that deviate much from the status quo. One lower-level manager quoted an often-used phrase in the company: “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Employees are required to follow extensive rules and regulations in this firm. Managers supervise employees closely to ensure that there are no deviations. Management is concerned with high productivity, regardless of the impact on employee morale or turnover. Work activities are designed around individuals. There are distinct departments and lines of authority, and employees are expected to minimize formal contact with other employees outside their functional area…

Dan Grayson felt physically and emotionally spent and was ready for a time-out from his daily office routines. He was a self-identified workaholic with broad experience and knew the responsibilities of his position. He was never given a project that he did not relish doing, but this orientation would soon become problematic. Accordingly, as the number of projects under his purview grew, he became stretched and stressed. Thus, it came as no surprise that he would be waiting with hurried anticipation for the Christmas–New Year break, a week of paid time off.
Generally, Dan enjoyed his position as program director for the Credit Builders Association (CBA), a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provided training and resources for low-income clients with credit problems. He loved being able to help vulnerable people establish creditworthiness and have a lasting impact on the lives of others in this way. Although national in scope, CBA had a staff of only ten employees—a…
