Abstract This paper discusses the way law enforcement intelligence will be different in the forthcoming. The law enforcement intelligence is deciphered differently within the societal perspective. The functions of intelligence in law enforcement requires a thorough analysis to define both the present and the future impacts in policing. Due to the efficiency of technologies within the criminal world, law enforcement will have a major change of the ways it deals with criminal activities.
Introduction Law enforcement intelligence has become more important because of sensitive information that is obtained in dangerous missions that generate such sensitive information. Top law enforcement can be successful through both security intelligence and common-sense intelligence. Law enforcement intelligence personnel should focus on gathering intelligence information to address criminal prosecutions and locking up illegal stuff (Schafer, 2007). The future of law enforcement intelligence depends on whether it will be harnessed by technological changes or not. A concept which has created various explanations throughout the social context (Ratcliffe, 2016). The intelligence agencies relate intelligence with the capabilities of the law enforcement agencies and work to control crime. However, law enforcement agencies function to secure the rights of citizens and implement the laws correctly. National security intelligence deals with high-profile criminals or criminals versus the government, depending on the media. To detect potential criminal activities requires a detailed knowledge of the situation. Nevertheless, the law enforcement agencies are concentrated on both party-political and fiscal disputes of society, however, with the rise in the crime rates it has become a major element in law enforcement strategies. All the involved parties must play their roles in contributing to make Singapore a more secure and orderly place. Effective law enforcement intelligence is needed for agencies to cater to the necessary adjustments arising from the political and economic diversifications. Intelligence Functions in Security

Enhanced intelligence surveillance underpins the success of terrorist attacks, and steps should be taken to embed the surveillance into the daily operations of law enforcement agencies. This requires a multi-agency cooperation involving Law Enforcement Intelligence, National Security Intelligence, and National Intelligence. The modern intelligence task requires the idea of being pro-active instead of being reactive. Law enforcement intelligence should be based on improving investigative procedures and dealing with criminal actions. One key role of law enforcement intelligence is to generate credible information to government agencies to help it respond to changing threats. There are various factors to consider while designing the future of legal intelligence and how it will change in the future. There are several critical factors that must be taken into consideration when handling a criminal case, such as the criminal history and circumstances surrounding the crime. Considering the legal requirements regarding the intelligence record procedures. By implementing collection, evaluation, distribution, and destruction policies, effective criminal intelligence records will be gathered. Adhering to specified guidelines and procedures ensure that the goals of law enforcement intelligence are effectively attained. There is need to make sure that all collection and intelligence took place according to the policies as required by the law (Ashley, 2017). There are changes in the nature of intelligence, but the model remains useful even through these changes. Intelligence has to advance in order to take on the issue of extremism. Prospects Technology has reshaped the way we monitor and manage security information. As data analysis is a core aspect in law enforcement, technology should be used where appropriate, to improve upon the current process. Aspects such as communication among law enforcement
agencies have been improved because of digital information and networking, advancements in technology and changes in police intelligence. There is a list of information that helps an investigator track wanted individuals. The system is aided with data mining software to enhance the system's effectiveness. Technology such as intelligent software has made it much easier to gather, analyze and make inferences regarding criminals and suspects on the Internet (Ferguson, 2019). The police have become more effective in fighting crime by accessing intelligence reports. ICT is changing the traditional methods of intelligence through intelligent data processing. Intelligence analysis is reliable techniques when gathering and passing important information. Innovations need to be introduced so that those established laws are not broken. There is a rise in crime threats which has a negative impact on investigation process of crime. There are questions about the understanding of legal terms because of the big data's approach. Development of effective technology depends on continuous interaction between innovation and human intervention. Intelligence officers must be well-trained in order to gain a sense of the criticality of these advanced surveillance technologies. The future of intelligence oversight will be determined by how well the existing model is implemented and used.
