Reflection 1 Abstract The criminal justice system is challenged with many different issues. The administration of justice organizations consists of law enforcement, court personnel and corrections. As a system policies and procedures has to be implemented in order to be a well-functioning system. During the 1980’s there was a challenge between the courts and law enforcement. Understanding the goals and focuses of the organization to enforce laws and regulations fairly. The main goal of the criminal justice system is to maintain law and order. Many policies and procedures are developed because an organization did not perform their duties to standard and violated reasonable ethical standards.
Reflection 1 Administration of Justice Organization Worldview Criminal justice is necessary for all communities. Having that authority in the communities help individuals from becoming victims. These organizations are law enforcement, courts and corrections. Each of these organizations have flaws and has to be held accountable. Organization is defined as an entity defined by structure, purpose, and activity objectives. (Stojkovic, 2015). With the criminal justice system being overwhelmed with cases and the increase in different crimes, policies and procedures has to be followed. The communities are relying heavily on the protection of the system and the freedom that it provides. Law enforcement enforces the law and maintains the peace. The courts are supposing the interpret the law and to ensure fair punishment with proof beyond a reasonable doubt. Corrections is to focus on incapacitation and rehabilitation to provide services for individuals to return to society and be functioning members. Administration of Justice: Leadership, Organization Models, and Theory Leadership is vital to the operation of any criminal justice organization. Having leaders that will stand for cause and guide others in the right direction is needed. We have seen over the last few years a lack in leadership in criminal justice organizations. With the lack in leadership the risk of corruption and unethical behavior will occur. Nicole Cain stated, “The role of law enforcement rarely remains fixed, but the methods by which law enforcement officers serve and protect shifts with the political climate. Law enforcement leaders must understand the nuances of the profession and the shifting political climate to guide their members.” (Cain, 2017). Being a strong leader and utilizing different leadership style is beneficial. Every organization is going to have issues and when dealing with those issues many use open system theory and closed system theory. Open system theory is defined as an approach to understanding organizations as being influenced by their environments. (Stojkovic, 2015).

Reflection 1 Structure and chain of command help and organization with the influences of their environment and helps the organization to uphold accountability. Personal Worldview in the Context of the Administration of Justice The criminal justice system is a career field that I chose to work in because of the structure and the overall goal to protect and serve. The ability to work with different workgroups allows me to build skills and knowledge in areas of expertise that I lack in. Leadership is important to guide people and implement good leadership qualities necessary to impact the criminal justice system. Proverbs 11:14, For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisers. (Proverbs 11:14 NIV - - Bible Gateway, 2011). Conclusion Administration of justice is the ability to work together as a unity and protect, serve and ensure fair treatment to all individuals. The criminal justice system has many challenges, and the environmental and political impacts make it hard to get on the goals and focuses. Good leadership with being diverse in different leadership styles will help guide and lead the future of the criminal justice system. Praying and keep God first in all that we do will allow change and direction to come into our environment and improve the impact that we have on people. The communities expects a high level of commitment, honesty, integrity, and courage. Unlike many other career fields, the citizen’s lives does not depend on the ability to uphold constitutional rights and enforce laws, policies and procedures.
