dietician, pharmacist, endocrinologist and palliative care. I’m working on becoming a certified medical assistant in hopes to get all the knowledge possible to assist physicians deliver the best care possible to the patient. The statute of limitations on Illinois medical malpractice lawsuits are two years from the date of injury but no longer than four years to file a lawsuit. For example, you visit a opthamologist you explain sudden changes of vision and black floaters, you get exam but there’s no imagining ordered to view the back of your eyes the neglagience in care can result in complete loss of vission due to retinal detachment. If imagining would’ve been the detachment could've been properly diagnosed and a treatment plan could’ve retained some vision. The affected party has two years from date of injury to file a lawsuit for medical malpractice under some circumstances four years.
