knowledge of AI/ML. However, all of these roles require similar skills. Pretty much all IT jobs require some knowledge of programming language, a basic understanding of operating systems, data analytics, how data is used, and general business knowledge of how a corporation functions and how important roles impact business functions. You should also understand emerging trends within your field and rules/regulations and compliance.
I would emphasize learning cloud computing or cloud platforms in general. Cloud is shaping up to be a key driver in business innovation and virtualization and scalability is highly demanded. Taking courses and obtaining certifications are the best ways to expand your knowledge and stand out from other applicants. 5.
What recent research or reporting or trends/percentage growth have you found online to prove your point that the jobs that you chose can be desirable employment? (5 points) According to an article on CIO, published by Sarah K. White on January 05,
2024, the jobs in the tech field that are highest in demand are Systems Security Managers, Network/Cloud Architects, Data Engineers/Data Scientists, and Developers. These jobs are some of the highest paying, but they require the most experience and skills. All of the roles that I selected for this assignment fall into the categories of IT jobs that are high
in demand. Cloud and AI/ML are the newest emerging trends and companies are seeking highly experienced individuals. https://www.cio.com/article/230935/hiring-the-most-in-demand-tech-jobs-

6.
If a recession comes and budget cuts or layoffs start, what would be your method to upscale your technical skills to stand out in a competitive technology market? (5 points) Considering the economic state of the U.S. job market, there are currently departmental layoffs occurring at some tech companies. As of now, it is very difficult to find an internship, let alone an actual position at some companies.
I know from first-hand experience how competitive the job market is, especially for those in the tech field. One of the methods I would recommend
to upscale your technical skills would be to take courses and obtain certifications since these are some of the best ways to expand your knowledge and stand out from other applicants. Consider what role you are applying for and research what skills are in demand for that specific role. 7.
What are your thoughts about the cloud since the entire world is moving towards using the cloud? Being a Computer Information
Systems and Technology (ITS) student, how do you think your four selected jobs will be impacted by the cloud? Be sure to cite your research references (APA Format) to support your answer. (5 points) Cloud is shaping up to be a key driver in business innovation. Virtualization and scalability are in high demand. The 4 jobs that I have selected work directly with cloud platforms and involve knowledge of cloud computing. Even cybersecurity requires cloud knowledge since you are working on keeping a company’s data secure. Most companies utilize the cloud for storage, so you have to understand where the data is located, and how to keep it secure. 8.
What are your thoughts about Artificial Intelligence (AI) since it is gaining a lot of attention? Being an Information Technology and Systems (CISTech) student, do you think your four selected jobs can be
replaced by AI? Be sure to cite your research references (APA Format) to support your answer. (5 points) Artificial Intelligence is not an emerging technology. AI has been utilized for several years, but AI is now gaining popularity due to ChatGPT and other AI platforms. AI has significance due to its capabilities such as learning from experience and performing human-like tasks. AI is very important because it can be trained to automate complex processes and predict business needs resulting in reduced costs compared to employing people. AI could potentially replace some of the jobs I have selected like Cloud Support or Cyber Strategy since you can train AI to do anything. However, one of the jobs I selected works directly with AI so there would not be a replacement. A lot of stigma behind AI stems from the fear that robots will replace humans and there will not be a need for employees. That could be true for jobs that require more mundane tasks since AI can automate those, but for the most part, AI will not replace humans since humans are needed to train AI models and feed data so machines can learn.
