Peer Evaluation of Group 5’s Website Based on the assigned content plan from Group 2 we have divided the peer evaluation into 4 categories with 4 assigned point values and the corresponding elements of the site: 5 Clickable Modules (4 pts)- For our first requirement, our group wanted all five of the modules on the site to be clickable. This was so students could be led to a page that lays out all the content required for each specific course. Based on our research, it seems Group 5 completed that task with flying colors. All the modules are hyperlinked at the bottom of the home page, which is critical because those must be one of the first things the students see. Additionally, there is a dropdown menu at the top of the site’s initial page with links to all five of the courses listed in our content plan. These are: General Information on Climate Change, Political Opinion Overview, Why People Don’t Believe in Climate Change, How Climate Change Affects America, and a Call-to-Action page. GRADE : 4/4 . Full marks were given due to all five of the modules being clickable. Search Feature (4pts) - There is a site-wide search feature at the top right of the site. The user can search for words that would appear on the site and if there is a result it will take the user to any post with the searched keyword(s). GRADE : 4/4. Full marks were given due to the presentation and functionality of the search feature and based on the requirements of the content plan. Grading System and Quiz Feature (5pts) - A quiz feature is interactable within the 5 modules. Regarding the quizzes, there are only multiple-choice questions with dummy content, and nothing responds to the content presented in the module. This is where
proper content is necessary to fulfill the requirement of “grading correct and incorrect questions that present a total or percentage at the end of a quiz/test.” As of now, there is only the remark saying the response has been submitted once the quiz is submitted. Also, there is no block with that corresponding grade. GRADE : 4/5 One mark was taken away due to the lack of presentation of the grade within the quiz. This is in large part due to dummy content not allowing for an actual response to be designated as correct or incorrect. Title of the Site is Clickable (Redirects to Home Page)/Content Aggregation (7pts)- For the final graded requirements in our content plan, our group had three things in mind. First, we wanted Group 5 to make the title of the site clickable and redirect to the home page. Additionally, we included a “Content Aggregation” sub-section, which states that each course should be listed by due date and that once a student starts one it should be at the top of their priority list. Also, the modules should be in a top-down model with the most important information at the top, and the quizzes coming after students have read everything. Based on our look at the site, they passed the first sub-criterion because the title is clickable and redirects users to the home page. This is critical because everyone should have an easy time getting back to the home section if they want to re-read the website’s goal. Secondly, each module has a due date, but once you start a module, you are not held to completing that (meaning there is no priority list). This can be bad for accountability purposes because students can do whatever they want whenever they want, which is not the goal of having deadlines for courses. Also, once our group completed a quiz, none of the modules said they were completed. However, the assessments do come
at the very end of each learning activity, so Group 5 gets credit there. GRADE : 5/7 They were given five out of seven points for this category because there was no course priority listing and modules do not mark as completed once quizzes are done. TOTAL GRADE: 17/20
