Identify if your collection plan and techniques have changed since your initial collection plan was created. Identify why the techniques used initially may vary from what you would use today. What if any, interesting fact have you gained from the discussion questions? From the start of my collection plan to now, some things I would change in how I would create it. I have learned a lot in this class, and the collection plan was the first very assignment we got. Therefore, with little to no knowledge about OSINT and all it o±ers, I made the collection plan. Now we only have one more week until the class is over, so based on the additional knowledge and information I took in, my collection plan would be created di±erently. Some techniques that I would have initially started with was identifying all the 15 factors about an organization from the presentation from the first day and from my previous knowledge. Next, for all the OSINT resources, I had some listed because I took notes from the lecture. Now, I would be able to take what is valuable to an organization based on hackers' perspectives on what information their goal is to find. In addition, for the resources, now I know what they are, what they do, and how to use them. Therefore, if I were to do the full conducted research, it would be almost guaranteed that I could find all the information. The collection plan from the beginning compared to if I did it now is only surface level. I am able to know how to search, analyze, confirm, and utilize all the resources and data. Deeper meaning behind the categories I would choose is tied to the specific resources I would use to find all the data. The interrogation process from discussion two is one of the interesting facts I learned from the discussion questions. I did not know that background checks and finding all possible information on a person being interviewed by a detective were a thing. I assumed it was only suspects, but everybody who comes in for interrogation has all their information analyzed by the interrogator/interviewer. Therefore, from the discussion, I thought it was a nice fact that they use that ”background check” as a way to learn their behaviors so they have a targeted attack method to get the information they know spilled. The idea that screeners should receive a copy of the element's overall objective statements from the PIR, IR, and SIR and become familiar with the intelligence indications was another intriguing thing I discovered. Screeners must employ their creativity and knowledge to come up with strategies for locating EPWs and detainees who may have information relevant to those indications. I had no idea that PIR, IR, and SIR screeners could collect copies of objective assertions. utilizing their prior knowledge and ideas on identifying EPWs, and identifying detainees who may be able to provide important information. Having to write the topic in a set word count drives you to broaden your views and opinions as I learned by typing my discussion. Some additional facts were found upon searching on the internet, and that being my source to help boost what I know.
