It supports different storage classes, including Standard, Intelligent-Tiering, Standard-IA (Infrequent Access), One Zone-IA, Glacier, and Glacier Deep Archive. Each storage class is designed to optimize costs and performance based on the access patterns of your data. For example, Standard is suitable for frequently accessed data, while Glacier is more cost-effective for archival purposes.
Another notable AWS storage service is Amazon EBS (Elastic Block Store), which provides block-level storage volumes for use with EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances. EBS offers different volume types, such as General Purpose (SSD), Provisioned IOPS (SSD), and Magnetic (HDD), each designed for specific performance and cost requirements. An example-use scenario for Amazon EBS is hosting a relational database that requires low-latency and high-performance storage. You can choose an appropriate EBS volume type based on your database workload characteristics.
