5-2 Discussion Campus Bike Case Study Good Afternoon Everybody, In making the argument in favor of a use case diagram for Campus Bike, the following points can be made:  A primary purpose of a use case diagram is the ability to visualize how a user or roles might interact with the system being engineered.  A use case diagram will help with defining and organizing functional requirements.  For a high-level view of the system – Especially useful when presenting to managers or stakeholders. You can highlight the roles that interact with the system and the functionality provided by the system without going deep into inner workings of the system.  To identify internal and external factors – This might sound simple but in large complex projects a system can be identified as an external role in another use cas e. Another essential benefit for Campus Bike is the fact that the cost & complexity of the system can established by speechifying which functions become requirements that will make it into the development stage. In the grand scheme of things I think that the use case diagram is beneficial for Campus Bike and with a few adjustments it can be used for most situations (systems) where actors are working to accomplish a goal, whether it is buying a new bike, having a bike repaired or maintenance, clicking on the website to check for a specific bike, or even taking your transportation to a Take 5 Oil Change business & receiving an oil change. Usually use case diagram is simple & user/actor friendly. A use case diagram doesn't require specialty training to interpret it. Most users/actors find use case diagram to be intuitive and self ex[explanatory.
