How much of this submission has been generated by AI? 0% of qualifying text in this submission has been determined to be generated by AI. Caution: Percentage may not indicate academic misconduct. Review required. It is essential to understand the limitations of AI detection before making decisions about a student's work. We encourage you to learn more about Turnitin's AI detection capabilities before using the tool. Frequently Asked Questions What does the percentage mean? The percentage shown in the AI writing detection indicator and in the AI writing report is the amount of qualifying text within the submission that Turnitin's AI writing detection model determines was generated by AI. Our testing has found that there is a higher incidence of false positives when the percentage is less than 20. In order to reduce the likelihood of misinterpretation, the AI indicator will display an asterisk for percentages less than 20 to call attention to the fact that the score is less reliable. However, the final decision on whether any misconduct has occurred rests with the reviewer/instructor. They should use the percentage as a means to start a formative conversation with their student and/or use it to examine the submitted assignment in greater detail according to their school's policies. How does Turnitin's indicator address false positives? Our model only processes qualifying text in the form of long-form writing. Long-form writing means individual sentences contained in paragraphs that make up a longer piece of written work, such as an essay, a dissertation, or an article, etc. Qualifying text that has been determined to be AI-generated will be highlighted blue on the submission text. Non-qualifying text, such as bullet points, annotated bibliographies, etc., will not be processed and can create disparity between the submission highlights and the percentage shown. What does 'qualifying text' mean? Sometimes false positives (incorrectly flagging human-written text as AI-generated), can include lists without a lot of structural variation, text that literally repeats itself, or text that has been paraphrased without developing new ideas. If our indicator shows a higher amount of AI writing in such text, we advise you to take that into consideration when looking at the percentage indicated. In a longer document with a mix of authentic writing and AI generated text, it can be difficult to exactly determine where the AI writing begins and original writing ends, but our model should give you a reliable guide to start conversations with the submitting student. Disclaimer Our AI writing assessment is designed to help educators identify text that might be prepared by a generative AI tool. Our AI writing assessment may not always be accurate (it may misidentify both human and AI-generated text) so it should not be used as the sole basis for adverse actions against a student. It takes further scrutiny and human judgment in conjunction with an organization's application of its specific academic policies to determine whether any academic misconduct has occurred. In the 19 th century, women were marginalized and they were denied different rights and privileges such as voting. This prompted the formation of movement such as women suffrage movement. This book by Blackburn which was published in 1902 gives a historical account of the women's suffrage movement in the British Isles, detailing its progress, key events, leaders, and strategies. The inclusion of biographical sketches of Miss Becker indicates a focus on a notable suffrage activist from that era. This book plays an important role to women today since they have been accorded same rights and privileges as men.. Additionally, it has the potential to provide insight into what the activists, approaches, and moments were like. Stories of Miss Becker might give us insight into the lives of the movement’s leading women. One of the successes of this movement was the right to vote. Before then, women were not allowed to do some duties because they were seen as subordinates of men. According to Blackburn (1902), women deserved every right to vote and the only way that could be achieved was through amendments. Stanton, Elizabeth Cady. The woman's Bible . Upne, 1993. The main aim of this article was to highlight the challenges women faced and criticized the bible for promoting discrimination against women. This text became controversial, and it played a significant role in advocating for women's suffrage. In her text, Elizabeth wanted to challenge the interpretation of the bible which stated that women should be subordinate of men. She questioned how the bible would encourage ender inequality. This work is significant as it likely provides historical documentation and insights into the suffrage movement's progress and Page 4 of 5 - AI Writing Submission Submission ID trn:oid:::1:2698421042 Page 4 of 5 - AI Writing Submission Submission ID trn:oid:::1:2698421042
3 challenges in the British Isles during the early 20th century. It may also shed light on the contributions and experiences of key suffrage activists, such as Miss Becker. There some quotes in her book which she totally blames religion, laws, customs as the reason why such inequalities continued. 1 “Woman's degradation is in man's idea of his sexual rights. Our religion, laws, customs, are all founded on the belief that woman was made for man.”. Turner, Edward Raymond. "The Women's Suffrage Movement in England." American Political Science Review 7, no. 4 (1913): 588-609. The author of this book recorded the events that took place during the women suffrage movement in England. The Women's Suffrage Movement in the 1920s tirelessly campaigned for the national right to vote, expanding women's political equality. The early 19th century witnessed profound industrial and societal transformations, prompting women to engage in social advocacy endeavors, which ultimately galvanized their quest for voting rights and participation in governmental institutions. Women have played indispensable roles in aiding those in need, fueling their determination to advocate for their own social and political parity. Despite the unwavering dedication of countless women towards securing the right to vote, numerous obstacles, divisions, and the passage of time were necessary steps for women to attain national suffrage. The 19th Amendment, granting women the right to vote, propelled them further along the path towards complete inclusion in the functioning of American society. 1 Stanton, Elizabeth Cady.
