In a web browser, do a search for tips, tricks, hints, and steps for troubleshooting Internet
connection issues. Make a list of ideas from at least three sources that you can use for future
reference.
Network, like other aspect of IT, is prone to experience technical failure and shutdowns.
In case of technical failures and shutdowns, there is urgent need to restore the normal operations.
Restoring functionality requires interventions that include troubleshooting. Through
troubleshooting, it is possible to gather essential data and describe the issue in a summative way
that enable the restoration of proper functioning. Troubleshooting enable pinpointing and
accurate identification of the problem. One of the method of troubleshooting is the use of
ipconfig that must be typed in the command prompt for execution (
Hicks et al., 2022).
Ipconfig
is the short term of internet protocol (IP) and configure. The gateway to troubleshooting using
ipconfig is the router’s IP address, however, there are specific number of IP address that must be
considered as not all the numbers other than IP address starting with 169. Ipconfig is mostly used
in obtaining the router IP address. Moreover, one can delve into the database logs ensuring all the
databases are operating normally (
Dhanaraj et al., 2021)
. Checking on the databases ensure they
are not overburdened and functioning normally. In case the database is not functioning properly,
the network performance will be greatly hampered. Also, consulting the ISP help the system get
in touch with the internet service provider in case the planned fixes does not resolve the
problems. ISP help in finding if the same problem is experienced by others.
What is one password debate you believe is significant?
The password debate that I believe is significant is passphrase vs. password debate.
Password authentication is not troublesome and is put in use by many users. Passphrases on the

other hand are difficult to recall and need more time to recall. However, passphrases have gained
trustworthy and popularity over the past being secure and difficult to access by unauthorized
users.

Passphrase are difficult to crack making them more user friendly.
