Packet Tracer is a cross-platform visual simulation tool designed by Cisco Systems that allows users to create network topologies and imitate modern computer networks. The packet tracer has been fine when I come to use it in TestOut Lab simulators and I can say I did have a gist of knowledge about how packet tracers work. It made me understand more about networking and I can see how it is important to know how topologies work in an office environment and so on. I think the pro with packet tracer in TestOut Lab is that students such as me will be able to understand it more and make good practice when it comes to topology and imitating how computer networks work. However, it can be a disadvantage when these packet tracers and outdated and real-life applications are different from the simulation that is practiced.
