Q.No.1 What was the situation?
The scenario was a group project at work. Even though I wasn't the designated leader on the team, I
adopted a followership position that was essential to the project's success. It was a science project about
reusing waste materials.
Q.No.2 What did you do?
Being a trustworthy team player: I constantly met deadlines and carried out my duties. Giving feedback
and input. I actively participated in brainstorming meetings and gave helpful criticism on how our project
was coming along. Helping with problem-solving, when issues emerged, I worked with the team leader
and other participants to come up with solutions and get over barriers. Supporting teamwork, I
encouraged and supported my teammates and assisted in resolving any issues that arose within the
team in order to foster a positive team environment.
Q.No.3 What was the result?
The project was successful, and we completed it on schedule and within budget. The results of our
teamwork were far superior to what our client had anticipated. Our team was applauded for its great
performance, and the client expressed satisfaction with our job.
In this case, my engaged and encouraging followership helped the team and project succeed. Even
though I didn't hold a formal leadership position, my contributions as a team member helped the
outcome.
4. What did you learn from the situation?
Through all the ups and downs during the project the most important skill I learned from the project is
working in a team. All our team members were from different backgrounds. I learned how to cooperate
and work with people who have different visions than me. I learned the value of teamwork. We support
each other to achieve the target in time.
