Write your academic personal mission statement below using the following format:
a.
Write a sentence or two summarizing what degree you are working toward here at SNHU
and why you chose this field.
b.
Write a sentence or two summarizing the type of career you want to have after earning your
degree at SNHU.
c.
Write a sentence or two summarizing what you hope to do with your degree and how it will
benefit you, your family, and/or your community.
My academic personal mission is to complete my degree in computer science by 2026. I will use all
my tools that I have learned in this course to help pursue my career. I would like to use my skills and
career to the best of my ability because its so much you can do with this specific career itself. In our
everyday lives we use electronics throughout our lives and its always good to have someone who
knows about technology to help with the problems. I am new to this field, and I plan to continue my
research and finish my career goals with this degree.
2.
Write three academic goals relating to your academic personal mission statement that are
achievable in the next six months (short-term). Include how/why these goals will help you be
successful in achieving your academic personal mission statement.
a.
Goal #1: Complete all my assignments.
b.
Goal #2: Create a check off list for goals.
c.
Goal #3:
Seek feedback and help from my advisors, classmates, and family.
I choose these three goals because I strongly feel these goals will help me stay focus and
on task with everything. If I use all my resources, I should be just fine and on track to
complete these goals within no time. I should first start completing my assignments on
time and start receiving feedback from my peers.
