Career Project Analysis While researching about potential careers for me, I have realized that engineering might be something I am destined to study. This is because when researching I ended always in an engineer career, maybe that is why my family is full of engineers. I also learned more of my strengths in those areas, specially that almost every career that I was interested had critical thinking. I first researched mechanical engineering because I like cars and building things, I learned their work is more than just cars and that you need patience with your work. I then researched mechatronics engineering because my dad is an electrical engineer and I want to be a mechanical engineer so I thought it would be a mix of both. I learned this one had more of the creating and designing models while mechanical is more of the develop and overseeing things. Lastly, I chose to research about petroleum engineer because my co-worker’s dad mentioned it a lot to me. This career is more about working with data and interpreting it which seems boring but when they go to the field to see the work that makes it interesting so having a mix of both is like a good choice. The career I would most likely base to pursue would still be mechanical engineer. My motivation for choosing this career is I have been talking to my friend’s dad about it and learning more from in life experience rather than just research. I feel that mechanical engineering is the best choice because I think it’s the most similar to my personality leading me to like it so much. The next steps I would need to take to prepare for this would be talk to advising to plan my future classes look into internships for the future and keep learning more on my free time while also seeing if I can complete some requisites before finishing collge.
