December 11th 2022 Class : Art for Elementary Teacher : Ms. Esparza Unit :Art with a Monochromatic Color Scheme using line drawing technivhes Objectives : students should be able to create values of pencil or black marker while using drawing line tehcniqies Standards : Using Values (TEKS) & Creative Expression(TEKS) Materials : White paper, a Black Marker, a ruler, and a pencil Duration :15-20 Minutes. Anticipatory Set : Students will create a a value chart using black marker or a pencil using line drawing techniques such as hatching.cross hatching and scribbling then students will be expected to create a monochrome value drawing Teaching : Input Teacher will provide instruction through demonstration of different line art designs to allow students to visualize what they can do. Modeling Teacher uses the materials to show students’ examples of what is expected as an end product of their work. Checking for Understanding Check students understanding of the assignment and the concept behind it before continuing, Questioning Strategies Teacher will take the students understanding and use them to ask higher level questions pertaining to the assignment to encourage higher levels of thinking. Guided Practice : Teacher will move around the room checking for understanding while students work in groups to begin designing their line art designs. Closure : Teacher will review the concepts with the class, once again check for understanding and finish off with the guided practive in order to finish the lesson with independent practice
Independent Practice : students will work to create a unique art design on their own papers while communicating ideas with their peers.
