CHANGE REQUEST Project Title: Home Kitchen Renovation Date Prepared: 12/06/2023 Requestor: Project Manager Category: Detailed Description of Proposed Change After carefully looking at supply issue, we propose there will be a 2-month delay in the completion of the kitchen renovation to allow the current supplier to deliver the necessary materials for the project. We are aware that the delay will also have a ripple effect on other aspects of the project, such as scheduling and subcontractor availability, but this is the most cost effect option. Justification for Proposed Change There is a cost variance of 5% to 10% for this project and paying a premium of 25% will dent the budget and put a major strain on the stakeholder budget expectations. Impacts of Change Scope Description: There is no impact on the scope of the project Quality Description: There will be no impact on quality as we will be working with a known supplier, and we can assure quality materials will be delivered. Scope Quality Requirements Cost Schedule Documents Increase Decrease Modify Increase Decrease Modify
Requirements Description: The requirement is not changing; it remains the same. Hence why we wish to stick with the same supplier. Cost Description: There will be no impact on cost, since we are using same supplier as intended. Schedule Description: There will be a 2 month increase in timeline, to allow required materials to be delivered. Stakeholder Impact Description: There will be some impact on the stakeholder. The change in schedule will disrupt plans and use of the renovated space. Project Documents Schedule Baseline Project charter Assumption log Comments The schedule is required to be updated to reflect the delivery extension, as well the assumption log needs to be updated. The client need to be briefed adequately and a close monitoring of the supplier must be carried out, to avoid further delays. Increase Decrease Modify Increase Decrease Modify Increase Decrease Modify High Risk Low Risk Medium Risk
Disposition: Justification It is the most feasible option that will keep the cost baseline from crossing the set cost variance for the project. Approve Defer Reject
