Part A.
Throughout the history of science, many accomplishments and discoveries were made.
Scientific revolution was considered the era that impacted the most growth and discoveries that
played roles in reforming science. The revolution
took place during the 15
th
and 17
th
century,
resulting in the development and thorough discoveries of mathematics, physics, astronomy,
biology, and chemistry thus
labelling it the most impactful and far-reaching period during the
revolution. The discovery of the heliocentric solar system was also noted during the scientific
revolution but so was the practice of medicine, the theory of magnetism and electricity as well as
the base of chemistry.
Part B.
Based on my reading and understanding I would have to agree that Nicolaus Copernicus
was the most influential astronomer during the scientific revolution. Copernicus, born in the 14
th
century was a polish astronomer who was pivotal in the discovery of the Earth and other planets
revolving around the sun. Copernicus’ theory was compiled during 1508 and shared 6 years later
1514, after publishing his book “De revolutionibus orbium coelestium” explaining his discovery
and hypothesis thoroughly. Copernicus made a vivid description of the planet’s movement using
the heliocentric theory, he stated the sun was the center of the solar system and that the Earth
revolved around the sun. His revolutionary discovery changed astronomy and has given us the
base for understanding the universe and its components.
Prior to Copernicus’ discovery it was
believed that
all celestial bodies revolved around Earth. His discovery led to the rise of
heliocentrism and has been classed factual about the Earth's position in the universe.

Part C.
Utilizing primary sources when trying to accomplish any task is very helpful.
One great
advantage of using a primary source is that it
allows the researcher to gather resourceful
information that are factual and specific to the topic needed. Primary sources dissect events and
information of the past, helping us to relate while also giving us readers a more detailed
understanding. It is importance to cite primary sources after doing research, this gives credit to
other researchers and acknowledge their objective. Lastly, I believe using primary sources helps
expanding knowledge about past historic events helping one to understand what they
(astronomers) experienced during their time and gives us detailed facts about their significance
in history.
Conclusion
During the scientific revolution a vast number of discoveries were compiled, this led to
the advancement of science in which we know today. T
he
scientific revolution changed the way
people thought and lived their lives during the 15
th
century.
Personally, Nicolaus Copernicus was
notably the most decorated astronomer; his discoveries were credited as major influence on the
scientific revolution. The Copernican Revolution changed astronomy and is noteworthy for the
growth of science today. In my opinion Nicolaus Copernicus’ theory can be considered one of
the greatest discoveries during the scientific revolution and one that impacted today
considerably.
