The purpose of this assignment is to prepare you for your
Prospectus: Final Submission
Assignment
by improving and expanding your work from previous courses.

NSTRUCTIONS
Submit a well-developed draft of the first chapter of the prospectus, including all front matter
found in the
Quantitative Template
. Be sure to submit the entire template as a whole, not just
Chapter 1. Revise and improve upon every section based on your work developed in previous
courses and address all comments made by previous instructors.
The document must conform to the latest version of the
Dissertation Handbook
. After
completing the assigned reading, candidates will use the
Quantitative Dissertation Template
located in the
SOE Doctoral Community
. The
SOE Doctoral Community

the
Prospectus: Chapter 1 Assignment
page under
Prospectus Resources
. The candidate will
submit a well-developed draft of the first chapter of his/her Prospectus, including all front matter
found in the
Quantitative Dissertation Template
. Do not make your own. The submission must
be a minimum of 10 pages of content for Chapter 1, beginning with the chapter overview and
ending with definitions list.The chapter must include a minimum of 25 different unique sources
and accompanying reference pages.
The

) will be assessed using the
Prospectus: Chapter 1 Grading Rubric
.
