4.02 How Did Hitler Happen (32 Points)
Read the article, “How Did Adolf Hitler Happen” listed on the task page. Then you will list
and explain at least 4 actions or events that helped Hitler rise to power in the Nazi Party
below.

Action 1:
Hitler attempted to overthrow the Bavarian government in Munich.
Notwithstanding its failure, the attempt improved Hitler's reputation and aided in the
spread of Nazi propaganda.

Action 2:
A lot of Germans, who were eager for change due to the economic
unpredictability and hyperinflation that followed World War I, found solace in Hitler's
promises of nationalism and economic security.

Action 3:
Through the organization of massive rallies and the dissemination of
propaganda, Hitler and the Nazi Party were able to successfully sway public opinion and
win support. Hitler's rise to prominence was largely attributed to his charisma and
persuasive oratory skills.

Action 4:
Soon after assuming the office of Chancellor, Hitler enacted the Enabling Act,
granting him absolute authority and enabling him to disregard the German parliament,
and swiftly built an authoritarian regime.
