Module 06 Assignment - The Value of Food Labels
Cracker B is considered low sodium because it contains less than 140mg of
sodium per serving. The current recommendations are to have 1,500 mg to
2,300mg (1 teaspoon) or less of Sodium per day.
4.
Which cracker (“A” or “B” brand) should someone choose if they are trying to eat less fats
(both saturated and trans fat), less sodium, and more fiber?
Cracker B seems to be the healthier snack because it contains less in fat, less in
saturated fat, less in calories and sodium and it also has more fiber than Cracker
A.
5.
In your opinion, which is the “healthier” cracker snack? Explain your reasoning.
I believe that if I had to pick between the 2 snacks that I would pick Cracker B due
to the overall lower calorie intake, sodium intake, and fat ratio intake. I think that
as a snack it would be the “healthier” choice, even though I would not choose
either of them.
