NYC Food cart analysis: While taking a walk across the various Food carts in New York I observed different Kinds of people categorized below- 1. Commuters who stop for a meal enroute to or from work 2. Locals who eat almost exclusively from food carts on a daily basis. 3. College students looking for inexpensive choices. 4. People who are homeless and eat from food carts 5. Lunch break for office workers When I analyzed it further few common characteristics were identified as per their needs- 1. This market segment is looking food items for preparation time is less 2. Meal should be pocket friendly 3. Meal should be easy to carry so that they can have it while commuting 4. Most of the people are looking for moderately heavy meal which is filling 5. Taste of the meal also matters because it’s an everyday go to meal Potential products to be sold- 1. Create meal packs containing a drink and a snack 2. Introduce weekly, 15 days and monthly subscription 3. Launch a service so that customers can pre-order the meal 4. Introduce a range of some vegetarian meals and meal packs for gym goers 5. A range of quick bite starters priced between $1-$5.
