8-2 Project Two: Feedback and Revision Reflection Over the last several weeks I have had the chance to enhance my writing skills. The feedback I have received has been a tremendous help as I have learned how to critically analyze a piece of writing. I tried my best to use the feedback given as starting points or building blocks to better my writing process as I revised my critical analysis project. I will use what I have learned in this course as a foundation to do well in my upcoming and future courses. Large and small-scale approaches to revision worked well for me during this course. I could go back and make sure my main ideas were aligned and that my paragraphs flowed together and were easy to understand. Being able to go back and expand on my ideas benefited my writing as I was able to give more information and be more specific with the evidence provided in the article that I chose for this course. I was also able to go back and fix grammatical errors that I had overlooked previously and structure my sentences, so they were easier to follow and understand. During my larger revisions, I was able to provide specific details of evidence to support my analysis of the article I chose. I also expanded on potential trade-offs and challenges to the author's argument. After I read over my paper, I also let my wife proofread it, luckily, I had no major grammatical or spelling errors. The revision strategies I think will benefit me the most in my next course Are expanding on my ideas, giving specific details that support my main point, and making sure I have no grammatical or citation errors. By expanding my ideas and giving specific details in my ideas I can strengthen my main point with evidence. Also, by proofreading and fixing grammar and citation errors, I can make sure that I am not losing points on my assignment that can be easily fixed.
The feedback I received from my instructor and the “written feedback” section in academic support was crucial to me receiving a high grade on my final project. I will be able to apply the feedback I received in this course to strengthen my written assignments by including specific details to fully explain and expand on my ideas. I plan to use this course’s feedback as a sort of foundation to ensure I am putting my best effort into future written assignments. Any feedback I receive whether positive or negative, I want to use to enhance my writing and the way I go about completing my future coursework. To connect with my audience in my essay I tried my best to make my writing clear and concise by making it accessible to a broad audience. I used straightforward language to ensure readers could easily grasp my main point without it being unnecessarily complex. Addressing potential challenges, I was able to potentially resonate with readers who may anticipate obstacles in my writing. I also tried to balance different perspectives to try to further connect with my audience. Lastly, I concluded my essay by summarizing key points to leave readers with a compelling takeaway of my analysis of my selected article. Overall, I tried to keep my choices in language, examples, and consideration of challenges to demonstrate thoughtful writing while keeping my audience aware and interested. I believe my future audiences may primarily consist of future instructors or professors while I am enrolled in online college classes. I may also have an audience of peers and classmates. I may also have an audience in my professional life that would include colleagues, managers, or supervisors. Some questions I could ask are: What experiences or challenges related to the topic have you encountered in your life or career? How does the message of my writing resonate with your own values or beliefs? In your opinion, what are some practical steps or solutions related to the issues discussed in my writing? Lastly, can you share any insights or

perspectives you have gained on this topic that might enrich the discussion? I believe by asking these questions I could establish a meaningful connection with my audience by inviting them to share firsthand experiences, insights, and perspectives. This would help me keep my audience engaged while enhancing the dialogue of my future writings.
