Clinical Hours (40 Hours) January 26, 2022 - 1) On Wednesday, January 26th, I worked in Mrs. Sweet's class at Whitley Primary School. The objective of the lesson was to take a test on where they are in the ranking. The materials/strategies used were working individually and using Chromebooks. Students were engaged by answering questions given by the teacher. I learned that it's essential to engage students in various group activities to produce better outcomes so that more is achieved. In my EDUC 237 class, we learned/discussed, I remember learning about engaging students in activities using different methods. 2) On Wednesday, January 26th, I worked in Mrs. Sweet's class at Whitley Primary School. The objective of the lesson was to go over a packet. The materials/strategies used were working individually on packets. Students were engaged by answering questions given by the teacher and confidently getting them right. I learned that it's essential to work with your students as patiently as you can to provide them with a more positive atmosphere. In my EDUC 237 class, we learned/discussed, setting different groups can be helpful to see where the students are at. 3) On Wednesday, January 26th, I worked in Mrs. Sweet's class at Whitley Primary School. The objective of the lesson was to read books. The materials/strategies used were working on a PowerPoint would you rather. Students were engaged by answering the would you rather questions and dancing to the videos. I learned that it's essential to interact with a lot of your activities. In my EDUC 237 class, we learned/discussed, creating more active activities can lead a lot more students to be involved, and that might be a better way to gain any interaction with the students. January 27, 2022- 1) On Thursday, January 27th, I worked in Mrs. Sweet's class at Whitley Primary School. The objective of the lesson was to work on a worksheet. The materials/strategies used were interactive worksheets. Students were engaged by repeating the teacher's questions and giving answers. I learned that it's essential to engage with your students. In my EDUC 237 class, we learned/discussed, creating activities that allow engagement is highly wanted for younger kids will be more into what's happening.

The objective of the videos was to engage students and parents in multiple activities. The materials/strategies used were various games and different books. Students were engaged by playing games and doing book crafts with their parents and other classmates. In my EDUC 237 class, we learned/discussed spatial reasoning and how to use it mathematically and possibly any other way in the classroom. I learned that it's essential for schools to engage parents in event nights because it allows the parents to understand their child in a school setting.

Students were engaged by answering questions that the teachers had given them. In my EDUC 237 class, we learned/discussed alignment, and that's where the seating chart comes in place, allowing a structured classroom setting. I learned that it's essential to find a way to gain a relationship with the students even if you don't know them. Assessment #1 video: -Making sure students have everything they need out -correcting homework -going over questions -going over any questions with math - engaging students by doing hand movements and talking to their partners whenever the teacher calls out switch #2 video: -Fist to Five technique -answer question at the moment instead of waiting on later -the technique helped the teacher out to be more familiar with the context.

In my EDUC 237 class, we learned/discussed about instructional demains, and that was when the teacher talked about the rules to the students and found ways to engage them into understanding their expectations for the year. I learned that it's essential to provide regulations but in a fundamental way for students and parents to understand. Classroom setup #1 video: -teacher provides a clean, organized, bright classroom set up -teacher provides a clean simple look for the rules and expectations on a board -chromebook procedures -provides quotes and positive things on her door -provides a daily schedule for the kids #2 video: -teacher provides a lesson on coordinate plans

I learned that it's essential to allow the students to have a sense of freedom but use it more appropriately. Middle School- Literature #1 video: -going over a study lesson -using a color activity to use for one word of something that reminds the students of -group activity -creating own questions -engaging students by working in groups or with their partners given at the moment -going over worksheets The objective of the videos was to go over a lesson about the literature they were learning. The materials/strategies used were colored paper and worksheets. Students were engaged by answering the question given by the teacher and following the activity, and putting it on the window. In my EDUC 237 class, we learned/discussed about student engagement where creating fun activities can help a student understand the assignment more. I learned that it's essential to allow students to engage with each other when they have a question. In my EDUC 237 class, we learned/discussed about technology and how the teacher should use it; therefore, The teacher used her board to go over the information slowly, so students have a chance to know about the program. I learned about how females go underground and how male teachers find it hard to find a smart female. High School- Quadratic Functions #1 video: - The intervention class, Algebra Success, is a support class for the regular Algebra 1 class that the students are concurrently taking.

I learned that it's essential to frequently ask questions throughout the lesson to make sure students pay attention to what's happening.
