Valerie Sanchez Melissa Freitag English 122-H5953 05/26/2022 4-6 Assignment: Quoting, Paraphrasing, and Summarizing My selected article “ Caring for your introvert: the habits and needs of a little-understood group”, author Jonathan Rauch’s purpose is to help his audience identify introverts by informing readers about the differences between introverts and extroverts. The author is educating his audience by shining a light on introverts and how to care for them by trying to make his readers aware that we might have introverts around us, whether they are some family members or even friends. The author just wants to inform the audience that they just have a different way of thinking and social gatherings can be very overwhelming for them. In order to accomplish his goal, the author identifies himself as an introvert and even explains his personal issues that he deals with on the daily basis being an introvert.
