Dear Parent or Gardian,
In response to your worries with the class reading a graphic novel, which is a necessary
part of our curriculum for the students to read in English class, I am submitting this response.
From my position as an educator, it is my duty to ensure that pupils have access to a wide variety
of literary works to read. In order for students to be challenged, familiarize themselves with, and
engage in the variety of literature that is provided, it is essential that the school provides a wide
variety of literary formats for students to read. These formats include comic books, picture
books, and graphic novels. The school is strongly encouraged to provide these books for
students. The creation of graphic novels is an essential component of literature for students, as it
enables them to acquire a varied education in the field of literature.
