minutes
(during
class
time)
Approximately
500
words
This
writing
assignment
first
involves
documenting
your
thoughts
and
observations
of
a
virtual
gallery
visit.
Choosing
one
of
the
galleries
listed
below,
you
will
repeatedly
explore
the
“virtual
visit”
that
this
gallery
provides.
Additionally,
you
will
choose
gne
artwork
that
you
saw
in
this
gallery,
which
you
will
discuss
in
comparison
with
a
work
of
art
from
the
course
textbook.
You
will
need
to
review
and
integrate
concepts
and
ideas
from
the
textbook
in
this
writing
assignment.
This
must
NOT
be
limited
to
using
the
language
of
form.
You
must
use
the
Google
Arts
and
Culture
portal
and
select
one
of
the
three
galleries
listed
below.
The
URL
to
the
portal
is
https://artsandculture
google.com/partner
For
each
of
the
following
galleries,
to
begin
your
gallery
visit
you
must
select
the
“person
icon”
which
will
appear
on
the
right
side
of
the
screen
in
the
following
links.

In
the
in-class
writing report you
will
be
asked
two
questions.
Question
#
1
will
be
about
your
virtual
gallery
visit
and
you
will
compose
your
answer
in
paragraph
form
(approx.
250
words
double-spaced).
You
may
not
use
any
notes,
your
textbook
or
electronic
devices.
It
will
be
essential
that
you
prepare
for
this
writing
assignment.
You
must
provide
specific
detailed
information
about
the
gallery
and
your
virtual
visit.
Students
who
have
not
selected
one
of
the
three
galleries
above
will
receive
a
failing
grade.
Question
#
2
will
be
about
the
comparison
you
are
making
between
the
artwork
chosen
from
the
gallery
and
one
from
the
course
textbook.
You
will
compose
your
answer
in
paragraph
from
(approx.
250
words
double-spaced).
The
artwork
you
select
must
be
from
the
horizontal
image
bar
at
the
bottom
of
the
screen.
You
will
need
to
identify
the
title,
artist’s
names
and
dates
of
both
your
chosen
artworks.
Do
not
select
an
artwork
in
which
the
artist’s
name
is
not
known.
Also,
you
may
not
select
an
artwork
from
the
gallery
that
is
featured
anywhere
in
our
textbook
(check
textbook
index).
Gallery
artworks
chosen
that
are
not
from
the
horizontal
bar
or
are
from
our
textbook
will
be
penalized.
You
will
be
comparing
this
artwork
with
one
from
the
course
text
(chapters
1-6).
There
must
be
a
logical
basis
for
comparing
these
two
artworks;
they
must
be
similar
in
some
way.
(Choosing
two
artworks
because
they
are
the
same
medium
is
NOT
a
basis
for
comparison).
