Trevor Davis EET113 – DC and AC Circuits Instructor: Derrell Dunn Lab Report: 1.7 Lab Assignment: Familiarization with Multisim Trevor Davis 1.7_LabReport_TrevorDavis_EET113_W1_LabAssignment1 Abstract: This experiment started with a simple series circuit using a 12v DC power source in series with a switch and 12 lamp. The circuit was then modified after an evaluation of its outcome to a parallel circuit with 2 lamps connected in parallel to see the outcome of the current and voltage readings. Introduction: The purpose of this lab is to build a simple circuit and notice any changes in voltage/current between the load in series and parallel. Procedure: 1. Explore the component toolbar. Move the mouse over each icon and click on it to see what circuit components can be obtained. 2. Add to your design sheet the following components: 3. Connect the circuit as shown 4. Run the simulation 5. Toggle the switch by clicking the ‘Space bar’. 6. Observe the effect on the Lamp 7. Stop the simulation. 8. Select the switch 9. Change the control for toggling the switch to letter ‘A’ by double-clicking on the switch and using the drop down menu to choose the letter ;’A’ as the control 10. Place another instance of the lamp by choosing it
Trevor Davis EET113 – DC and AC Circuits Instructor: Derrell Dunn from the ‘in-Use List’ 11. Connect the circuit as shown Analysis & Results: Series Circuit : 883mA / 12V ahead of the load observed. 883mA / 0V past the load observed. Parallel Circuit: 883mA / 12V ahead of the load observed. 883mA / 0V past the load observed. Conclusion: References: N/A
