University of Florida EEL3111C – Circuits 1 Santiago Tovar Electrical & Computer Engineering Dept. Lab 7: Capacitor Applications Page 1/3 Revision: 0 February 29, 2024 INTRODUCTION -For your write up, write a brief introduction to what you are doing in the in lab. two to four sentences. - Omit this section for the prelab. DISCUSSION 7.6.1 Construction We are building the circuits we did in LTSpice for prelab but this using the breadboard. This is the first circuit that was required for prelab. Item 1 Figure 1: Output and capacitor voltage on the o-scope.

Lab 7: Capacitor Applications Page 3/3 Revision: 0 February 29, 2024 Item 4: Figure 4: Output and capacitor voltage in o-scope with modified values for Ra Rb and CL. Circuit Output Voltage Pulse Duration Percentage Error Mono-stable 200 us 21% Mono-stable, different R A , C L 400 us 102% A-stable 163.22 us 18% A-stable, different R a , R b , C L 100 us 100% Table 1: Tabled values of voltage pulse duration, and their percentage error in comparison to the theoretical value calculated at prelab. DISCUSSION QUESTION ANSWER CONCLUSION In this lab, I learned how to build circuits using the NE555 device. I learned how both mono-stable and a-stable circuits work and how the output of voltages changes during that. Although I was not getting the right output display in Waveforms, my circuit was well-built so still I learned how to deal with a circuit like that.
