Introduction to CircuitLab Software Fall 20 2 3 1. CircuitLab software Register online to obtain access to the Circuitlab software at circuitlab.com. We have acquired a site license for this academic year, but you must register using your UMD.EDU or TERPMAIL.UMD.EDU email address. 2. Demo video View the demo video “Getting Started with CircuitLab” at https://www.circuitlab.com/ . 3. Circuit 1 simulation Construct the circuit below in CircuitLab and determine the Va, Vb, and Vc. Figure 1: Circuit 1 simulation 4. Circuit 2 simulation Construct the circuit below in CircuitLab and determine the current Ix. Note that the current source is a current controlled current source (CCCS) and you may find some help from the following website. https://www.circuitlab.com/forums/support/topic/x27frca8/controlled-sources/ Note that the two ends of a n element in circuit are labeled .nA and .nB , respectively . Move over one end point of the element to see its label at bottom right corner of the editor . T he sign of its current is reversed between opposite ends of the same component. As shown in the example circuit drawn in CircuitLab below , R1.nA indicates one current direction (from right to left) , while R1.nB indicates the opposite current direction. In this exercise, only one current direction works.
