Describe anything that makes the graphs hard to read. What would you do differently? Answer: The only thing I see is that the graph for “Graduation Rate Peaks in 2012” is a little hard to read because there is no specific percentages other than 70% and 80%. I would put more lines to differentiate the percentages on the left side of the graph. Describe 3 additional pieces of information that you can read from these data displays. Answer: One of the things I observed is that there is not enough data available for 3 states, which can change the calculations of the national graduation rates. Another additional fact is that students from high poverty regions drop out of school due to reasons at an extremely alarming rate every single year. Some the explanations are gang related, home and street violence, boredom, family health problems and a lack of support and care from their parents. Graduation rates in 2011-2012 was significantly low for American Indians, African Americans, and Hispanics. Everything done in someone’s childhood it makes that person who they are when they grow up. We have to do better!
