What is the responsibility of the nation to protect its people from harm caused by another country? Select a threat/hazard. Explain how emergency managers could coordinate across the border with Mexico or Canada to prepare for a threat or danger. QUESTION 1. The nation is responsible for protecting its people from harm caused by another country through its military, economic, and diplomatic power. It is a duty of a nation that has a strong military to protect those nations that do not. Some countries are not prepared to defend themselves. Other nations must take on military action. Powers like America have the military force to protect other nations and themselves. If this country does not engage in these situations, these smaller countries will be taken over by tyrants. Through this process, the government can gain allies and access to the resources of the nation they help. The goal; of helping is to protect the right of the people. World 101 (2023) says emergency management can share information and resources at the border of each country. Each country can act on the emergency from each country. Mexico or Canada can help fight the disaster, depending on which country it is in. A united front will mean less damage and less live loss. The potential for harm is always there, but a swift reaction by the countries involved can yield good outcomes. World 101. (2023).
