ISDS 4113 Assignment Scrum: Planning the First Sprint Due: 6 October 2021 This is the individual portion of the Scrum assignment. Pick any one feature from your team’s product backlog and for that feature answer the following questions. 1) State the feature / User Story Feature: Invasive plant /plant compatibility User Story: As a user, I want an invasive plant warning, so that I can keep my plant safe. 2) Discuss the feature’s ranking in the Product Backlog. Our Product Owner ranked this feature fairly high on the Product Backlog because it is related to the central focus of the app which is plant maintenance. Also, the Product owner thought that this was one on the features that would keep the interest of our users. 3) Discuss the Story Points assigned to the feature. Why did you (and the team) assign that particular number? Describe the discussion around the Story Point assignment. For this feature, we collectively ranked it as a 4. For the most part we figured it was a rather simple feature. Essentially, we concluded that it would just consist of pulling from a database consisting of all the plants we have on file and calculating their compatibility through AI. 4) Discuss a Definition of Done for the feature. How will you know this feature has been completed? The Definition of Done for this particular feature would be the user being able to keep their plant safe. I know this feature has been completed when the AI has the ability to accurately calculate plant with a 95% confidence. 5) How would you approach completing this feature? What tasks and technologies would be used? I think for this feature, we would heavily rely on AI to aid in the completion of this feature. So first we have to make our database and configure the AI in a way that it is able to accurately identify plant traits that plant compatibility is based on.
