Strengths I believe that my three areas of strength are going to be Networking fundamentals, Networking Implementations, and Network Security. As I was going through not only this class but the classes that I had previously these are the areas that were easier for me to grasp compared to the others. I have learned a lot that I want to start to implement at my current employer. We must be HIPAA compliant and through these courses I have come to see that our network is not secure, and we have no protocols in place or a plan in place to make it secure. I also feel like I have a good grasp on the fundamentals of networking but there is always more to learn. Once you have a decent understanding of the fundamentals it does make the rest of these domains easier to understand. I also understand the risk and the idea of risk management that needs to take place. I was also able to grasp subnetting and the different classes of IP addresses. It did take a little bit longer than the other aspects, but I eventually got there. Weaknesses I believe my two strengths are going to be network operations and network troubleshooting. This is because there are a lot of layers to the OSI model and understanding what is impacted at each layer is a downfall of mine. As well as with troubleshooting since most of it starts with the OSI layers do not have a full or broad knowledge of that also impacts this domain. Another reason that this is a weakness for me is going to be because there are so many places that you can start troubleshooting along with a lot of different commands you can use to do the troubleshooting. In order to strengthen these areas of weakness I plan to do more reading on the spots that I believe that I need help with. I am also a visual learner, so I plan to also watch videos on these

areas as well. I am also blessed to have a couple people in my family that have taken this exam recently and have passed so I can bounce questions off them. I can also have them explain areas of concern for me. Sometimes all it takes is a different explanation or point of view to get a point to hit home.
