The solution this report investigates is upgrading to laptops that meet the company’s needs and enhance business productivity in the field of web development. The criteria against which the solution is tested are compatibility, storage, and RAM. The recommendation is to upgrade to the Lenovo ThinkPad P16s Gen 2 laptop.

The issues have significantly impacted business productivity in the field of web development. The targeted audience for this report consists of experts and technicians in the computer science domain within this organization. This report addresses the critical need for improved laptops to enhance business productivity. The proposed solution involves a comprehensive organization-wide upgrade to Lenovo ThinkPad P16s Gen 2 Laptop. Chapter 2.0 of this report provides detailed insights into the identified problems and outlines the proposed solution. In Chapter 3.0, a criteria list is presented to evaluate the suitability of Lenovo laptops for this upgrade. In Chapter 4.0 includes Results and Discussion. In Chapter 5.0 contains the Conclusion of this report. Chapter 6.0 provides recommendation regarding the laptop that meets all requirements.

2.0 Problem Statement 2.1 Background: Need for Laptop Upgrade A Laptop upgrade is necessary to address numerous software issues that are adversely impacting business productivity in the field of web development. The laptop should have certain software compatibility with Windows 11 OS, Adobe Photoshop 25.1, Visual Studio Code 1.83, and MySQL 8.1.0. 2.2 Theory: Technical Solution – Lenovo Laptop This report will evaluate Lenovo ThinkPad P16s Gen 2 as a solution to address numerous software issues significantly impacting the business productivity in the field of web development. The solution is expected to meet software compatibility, storage, and RAM requirements for enhancing business productivity. 3.0 Criteria 3.1 Compatibility The solution should be compatible with Windows 11 OS, Adobe Photoshop 25.1, Visual Studio Code 1.83, and MySQL 8.1.0. 3.2 Storage The solution must have a minimum of 1 TB of storage. 3.3 RAM The proposed solution should have a minimum of 32 GB of RAM.
