CN8812: MPLS Lab Part I: Basic topology 1. Launch the below topology on CML and configure the appreciate ip address as per the network address per interface: Figure 1: Network Topology 2. Run the RIP routing protocol in each router. Part II: MPLS configuration 1. Enable MPLS at all the interfaces of all the routers. Q1. Record the labels assigned to networks 10.1.1.0/24 and 10.1.2.0/24 by each router. Q2. Based on your knowledge of the RIP protocol, determine the labels used for switching datagrams from R0 to networks 10.1.1.0/24 and 10.1.2.0/24. Specify the label carried by a datagram transmitted in each link. For example, if a datagram traverses R0, R1, R3 and R5 to reach 10.1.1.0/24, specify the labels carried by the datagram in the R0-R1 link, R1-R3 link and R3-R5 link. 2. Study the FIBs (MPLS forwarding tables) of the routers to verify your answers. 3. Disable MPLS at the interfaces of R5. Q3. Repeat Q2 above. Explain why Q2 and Q3 essentially have the same answers.
