6-2 Project One Submission: Network Modification Brief The first step that I will be taking is placing the wireless router, phone and tablet in the appropriate wireless area. In order to do so I have to click on the switch under “Config.” then the “VLAN” section. Next, I must add VLAN 70 and 80. Some have already been done such as VLAN 50 and 150. Switch fa 0/3 has been connected to the wireless router now that’s done I can configure the router. IP address 192.168.70.10 must be entered, in order to do so you must go under the LAN tab. The internet section must be set to DHCP. The SSID must be changed to “Guest” I can do this by going under the wireless tab, in addition to this step I must ensure that the authentication has been disabled. On the GUI tab ensure the internet connection is set to DHCP with an IP address of 192.168.70.10. Enable the server which is located in DHCP server setting followed by entering 10 and 70 from the IP address, with 10 being the lowest and 70 being the maximum then save that setting. The gateway section must be set to DHCP. Under the wireless tab ensure the SSID is set to “Guest”. Once completed the Gateway will be generated, the gateway is 192.168.70.12. Now we have our IP Addresses for the tablet and phone by following the same steps. Tablet IP Address is 192.168.70.11 and the phone IP address is 192.168.70.10. With successfully pinging the phone and tablet this section is now configured properly. Next will be the video camera area which is where both cameras will be placed. The cameras will be connected to fa 0/1 and fa 0/2 which is the VLAN 80. The gateway has been created properly for these devices; the gateway is 192.168.80.1. I then changed the names of the camera devices to “Waiting Area” and “Front Desk” and added the IP addresses those are; 192.168.80.9 and 192.168.80.10. 2
