De La Cruz 1 Jordyn De La Cruz Katie Mastroleo EDUC 1300 October 5, 2022 Consul (ESFJ-T) Personality The ESFJ-T personality code stands for extroverted, sensing, feeling, judging, and turbulent. To be extroverted, being energized by spending time with other people. Sensing refers to someone that focuses on details or facts instead of ideas and concepts. Defining feeling, this is a person who will make decisions based on what they value and how they feel. To be judging, is being organized and have a plan rather than being flexible or spontaneous. Consuls can either be turbulent or assertive, this specific personality code describes the consul as more turbulent than assertive, meaning they tend to focus on behaviors they portray when feeling regretful. Taking the personality assessment, the code given to me was consul (ESFJ-T) personality. I am 64% extroverted, which is accurate because I am a very sociable person during the day, meaning I like to talk to my peers and spend time whenever possible to continue getting to know them which will improve my mood and energy drastically. My personality is 77% observant, meaning I exhibit a sensing characteristic, which is true because I thrive on the facts and details given to me in situations, rather than the concepts and ideas in the situation. I also have a 56% likelihood of having a feeling personality, which describes me perfectly because when I face a decision, I tend to base my feelings and my values or beliefs on the decision. Being 72% judging is precise because I am known for always having a plan, whether it is for things I must do in my life, or if I am planning what I will accomplish in a day when it comes to
De La Cruz 2 homework. I am 74% turbulent because whenever I am wrong or do something I regret, I will think about it nonstop, which will lead me to judge myself and believe I am flawed. The strengths I display begin with strong practical skills, meaning I am particularly good at planning and managing my day-to-day tasks, which allows me to help others around me and succeed at completing the things I must accomplish. A keen sense of duty also describes me because I continuously strive to meet my obligations and remain responsible. Another strength is a powerful sense of loyalty, which means I value stability and security which makes me very trustworthy and loyal in my relationships. I am also known for being overly sensitive and warm, allowing me to have a strength in my ability to connect with people on a deeper level. My lack of flexibility in life is how I would categorize all my weaknesses. My personality type tends to worry about how other people view us, causing us to become very reluctant to step out of our comfort zone for fear of judgement. We are often very vulnerable and needy but tend to try to hide it because we attempt to be selfless as well, so we do not affect other people’s emotions. Overall, this personality quiz has described who I am as a person very well and I disagree with little of it. It has also opened my eyes a bit on how I can improve myself when it comes to my weaknesses. To work on myself, I will have to create a plan to try and get myself to step out of my comfort zone, allowing me to focus more on my vulnerability and be more flexible. However, I do believe that not everything in my life must change, my past experiences have shaped me into the person I am today, and I should never have to change myself for others, only if it is what I desire.
