DQ 1 & 2 Week 4 DQ 1 The opening paragraph or portion of an essay is known as the introduction, and it is crucial to crafting a strong paper. By capturing readers' interest, giving pertinent background information, and outlining the essay's core concept, goal, and direction, the introduction enables the writer to start the essay. The readers are given a lot of information in the introduction. It can inform them of the subject matter, its significance, and the direction the conversation will go. A thesis statement outlining the primary argument should be included in the opening of most academic subjects. The speech's start piques the audience's interest and encourages them to continue listening. An effective beginning should capture the interest of the audience, clearly describe the issue, humanize the subject, lend authority, and summarize the key ideas. Enhancing and improving tools to stop young people who have experienced trauma from entering the legal system is the project's ultimate aim. The goal of this project is to teach young girls and boys healthy, sensible daily routines and good coping techniques, with the ultimate goal of improving resources for this target demographic. The program goals is to create a resource that helps with prevention and intervention of youth entering the judicial system who have unresolved past trauma. In order to determine the targeted youth I would look at past behaviors, medical history, mental health history, and family dynamics. The project proposal would aid in helping youth specifically work through trauma issues that are related to why they act out and become delinquent. I have experience in this as I have been battling the system and currently available resources for my own child who has unresolved past trauma that has directly impacted his ability to make health decisions. DQ 2 The logical outcome of my proposal project is the parents of youth will become more aware of events that may cause trauma and trauma symptoms, and adolescents will learn resilience skills. In the proposal I plan to explain the importance of education of trauma. Traumatic experiences in childhood have been linked to risky behaviors such as substance use and unprotected sex, mental health conditions, and can affect relationships, careers, and other social aspects of life (SAMHSA, 2022). In the United States trauma is common among children and adults, and can weigh a heavy burden on communities, families, and individuals, but having a strong support system and resilience can reduce traumatic stress reactions when faced with traumatic events. The goals of my proposal program include 1. Provide a safe space where youth can receive support from one another. 2. Educate families on trauma and ways to reduce traumatic events, teach the signs of trauma, and build resilience. 3 Provide services to youth who have experiences traumatic events.
