The commander was very involved in individual growth for each individual, to add to the unique situation because the unit was smaller than average and provided extra time for involvement from the commander. At meetings where information was shared with other units under his command, there was an incident that occurred between two section leaders where information was improperly and incorrectly shared. Being a lower-ranking member of the meeting I was asked to verify the information from a logistical standpoint to see if the schedule from transportation would accurately align with one side or the other of the argument. My findings of course illustrated that both parties were correct to a degree, or partially informed correctly. However, the argument started
to get worse and the commander gave a smile to me and said “Thank you.” Then he began to explain all the details with ease to everyone at the meeting resolving any misunderstandings that were left. How he dealt with this was quite inspiring because he used patience and calm. As a leader using personal skills such as this to handle situations in
an organization makes for superb personal communication. Moreover, being able to address varying types of information or provide knowledge at a whim to others to aid in resolving internal issues or help achieve goals is quite important. Those are also skills that I would recommend to a leadership training
program. That is why I believe a synthesizing leadership style is a complex and variance of leadership styles that can pivot, adapt, and be flexible to understanding while being informed to provide others with the tools and skills to succeed and move forward from shortcomings. This applies to many instances that require information from varying disciplines, or the ability to connect with the right entity to find the information required to complete daily activities or big projects (Abidi & Joshi, 2018). Especially in a working environment that is constantly changing, improving, and fast-
