Jessica, I wholeheartedly agree with your assertion that educators must be ever cognizant of their professionalism where it be through their behavior, demeanor, style, communication, attire, and more. The way educators present themselves can have an overwhelming impact on those around them, from students to coworkers as well as parents to community members. Within my own classroom, I often analyze my own behavior, demeanor, style, communication, and attire to ensure that I embody professionalism. By embodying professionalism, I am able to better support and guide my students as mentioned in 1 Corinthians 11:1, which states, “follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ” ( New International Version, 2011).
