The iPhone is a telecommunications brand manufactured and marketed by Apple Inc. the company manufactures, sells, and distributes telecommunication gadgets with the Apple Operating system. The first generation of the company's products was released in 2007, and the company has been gaining market popularity worldwide, providing one of the most expensive telecommunication gadgets globally.
3 Media and industry commentary IPhone’s latest release, iPhone 14, is said to be one of the best versions the brand has ever released to the market. The brand's latest version has a dual-lens camera that works best for low- intensity environments and night mode, enabling photography in darkness. It also has a high processor and long-lasting battery life. Holland et al. (2022) say that it is one of the fastest gadgets due to its high processor, has been improved for daily use, and can guarantee the best user experience for at least four years. Dashboard outputs Social blade's dashboard generates social media data for analytics. It tracks and identifies users of a particular brand and monitors their statistics on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms. It helps users like Samsung and iPhone understand their consumers, consumer behaviors, and other market trends. This information is vital for determining user growth in terms of consumer behavior. It generates information for analyzing content creation and consumption for a brand's products and services. Samsung, can for instance determine how many people have streamed its content on various social media outlets. The brand can determine how many of its videos have reached the targeted audience and what the feedback was. Answer the public's dashboard provides information on what consumers are asking and the trending topics about the particular brand(s) under study. It gives analytics an overview of what the consumers are thinking, looking for, or concerned about. It provides over 3 billion Google searches, which are vital in understanding consumers' wants. Furthermore, the brand barely utilizes its social media platforms to interact with consumers. While Apple Inc. has over 2.5 million followers on TikTok, it has uploaded only 145 videos, which is minimal compared to the vast number of followers. If the brand used social media platforms more, it would reach more consumers and gather more feedback. From Answer the Public's dashboard, we can identify that visitors use the website for inquiries. The limited viewership of the YouTube videos shows limited consumer engagement, and a lack of consumer analysis. Actions/solutions Increase social media mapping to diversify the target audience. The brand (Apple Inc.) must conduct audience analysis research to determine the various social media platforms its consumers use. By uploading content on Twitter, the brand will meet its target consumers who use Twitter, which will increase traffic and popularity. Social blade's dashboard shows few video viewers compared to the number of followers. The brand should work hard to increase viewership by improving the content, focusing more on the consumers, and uploading more content to keep consumers engaged.
8 Conclusion While Apple Inc. is a globally acknowledged and accepted brand, the company has minimal social media activity. As shown in the company's Twitter engagement, reduced customer engagement shows a limited degree of consumer activity. The organization should work hard to engage its social media consumers, increasing the company's popularity and profitability and strengthening the brand globally. Besides, to diversify the consumption of the brand’s products and services, it should also target other social media platforms, like Facebook, which has more users; this will enhance the brand’s popularity, and engagement with consumers. The brand should also increase the number of posts uploaded to the various social media platforms; it helps engage consumers, and increases the feedback gathered. Furthermore, increased customer engagement enhances brand loyalty, which is instrumental for profitability and gaining a competitive advantage in the market.
